Jean Fontanille has tested and adopted our straps.

Mr. Bichon, CEO of BG France and designer of BG guitar straps, met Jean during the 2025 edition of the Bordeaux Star Guitar show.

Jean had never found a strap that combined aesthetics with comfort. For a professional who performs on stage every day, pain inevitably occurs—not to mention the discomfort caused by perspiration, which can make the equipment slip.

A little more about Jean Fontanille:

Jean FONTANILLE is a French professional guitarist.

A graduate of a prestigious French music school, he began his career as a guitar teacher before becoming the director of a music school in Bordeaux. At the same time, he started working for the French guitar magazine Guitare Xtreme and performing gear demonstrations throughout France (Laboga, Vigier, Orange, etc.).

A pioneer in online guitar education, he co-founded the online music school BendNote, a project that gathered nearly 90,000 subscribers between 2012 and 2017.

Jean has always placed live performance at the heart of his life. For more than 25 years, he has performed on stage with well-known French pop singers, whether for his own music alongside major figures of the French guitar scene such as Patrick Rondat and Christophe Godin, or through cover bands, masterclasses, and gear demonstrations—making him a highly experienced musician.
