Born in Oaxaca, Oax. Retired as a Navy Lieutenant Musician in the core of the Mexican Navy. In 2014, he obtained his master’s degree from the Faculty of Music at the University of Montreal, Canada, under the tutelage of Jean François Guay. In 2007, he graduated as an instrumental musician with special distinction from the School of Music “Vida y Movimiento” at the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center in Mexico City, under the guidance of Abel Pérez Pitón, being the first student to graduate in this specialty.

He has performed as a soloist with the Querétaro Philharmonic Orchestra, the Secretary of the Navy Symphony Band, Camerata Oaxaca, Xalapa University Orchestra of Popular Music (OUMP), Oaxaca Symphony Orchestra, Coyoacán Symphony Orchestra, and many others.
Saxophone teacher at the “Vida y Movimiento” School of Music at the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center from 2006 to 2011 and since 2018, and at the National Conservatory of Music (since March 2015).
He has offered courses and concerts at various forums and festivals in Mexico, such as the Zacatecas International Festival 2022, the Tapatío Saxophone Festival Guadalajara 2022, and the Veerkamp Clarinet and Saxophone Festival 2021, among many others.
He has participated in several CD recordings with various groups, including the Mexican Saxophone Quartet Joplin & Gershwin, the National Symphony Orchestra La Sinfónica va al cine, and others.
He served as the lead saxophonist of the Navy Symphony Band for more than 20 years and is currently a saxophone teacher at the National Conservatory of Music and the “Vida y Movimiento” School of Music. He also directs the Oaxaca Saxophone Ensemble and the KUMI Saxophone Quartet. He is an artist for SELMER saxophones.
