Armando Cedillo, is a Mexican trumpet player. He has been Director of the Ensemble de Alientos de la Ciudad de México and the "Rafael Mendez Brass Quintet”.
Cedillo, has studied at Escuela de Perfeccionamiento “Vida y Movimiento” with Arturo Reyes and Christopher Thompson, and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with Paul Cosh and John Miller.

He has been principal trumpet player of the most important Symphony Orchestras in Mexico, Filarmónica 5 de Mayo, Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México, OFUNAM, among others. He is also an international soloist, performing in Mexico, Argentina, Spain and Germany, U.S.A and Russia.
He has been fortunate enough to play with some of the best trumpet players in the world such as: Sergei Nakariakov, Arturo Sandoval, Otto Sauter, John Miller, Pacho Flores, Pierre Dutot, Rex Richardson, Sebastián Gil, among others.
In the academic field, he has been a trumpet master at the Escuela “Vida y Movimiento” Centro Cultural Ollin Yoliztli for 15 years, as well as giving classes throughout Mexico, Germany, Japan and Italy. Among the most important recognitions that have been granted to him has been the Mozart medal. He is the founder and director of the "Rafael Méndez International Brass Festival", in which the greatest exponents of brass instruments come to Mexico to give classes and perform in the most important venues in the country.
Cedillo has also ventured into various styles of music including popular music. In that style, he was part of the band of Luis Miguel, Cristian Castro and the Castro brothers. He is currently a member of "Ten of the Best". This ensemble is made up of 10 of the most prestigious trumpet players in the world, conducted by Otto Sauter. This group actively travels the world, playing in the most important concert halls in countries such as Japan, Russia, Germany, Greece, Spain, among others.
Recently he released his second album entitled: "Mi Homenaje a Rafael Méndez", and re-released his previous album which includes four concerts for trumpet: Haydn, Hummel, Neruda and Stolzel.
