Founded in 2022 within the Italian Army Band, the SINTONIA SAX TRIO is composed of orchestra musicians Alessandro Scalone, Renato Trombì, and Daniele Calì, all winners of the national competition for the representative musical ensemble of the Italian Army.
The group quickly earned significant awards in international competitions, including first prize at the "Vivaldi International Music Competition" and third prize at the "2nd Malopolska International Music Competition 2022."

In addition to their intense concert activity with the Italian Army Band, which sees them constantly performing in the most prestigious theaters for national and international music festivals and events, they boast soloist careers as well as performances in various chamber and orchestral ensembles: the Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo of Palermo, the Orchestra of the Teatro Bellini of Catania, the International Orchestra of Italy, the Reggio Calabria Symphony Orchestra, the 'Vivaverdi Multikulti' Multimedia Arts Festival in Matera, Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble (PMCE), SaxTuba Duo, Balarm Sax Quartet, Skato Saxophone Quartet, Carboneria Sax Ensemble, and many more.

The Sintonia Sax Trio has been invited to the "EurSax 2024 - 3rd European Saxophone Congress." Their repertoire ranges from transcriptions of baroque music to original pieces specially written for the ensemble.
