Guillaume PERNES is principal tenor saxophone of the orchestras of the French Republican Guard.
Admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the class of Claude Delangle, he was unanimously awarded the First Prize in saxophone.
He is a prizewinner of various national and international competitions, including the Adolphe Sax International Competition in Dinant.

An orchestral musician and chamber player, Guillaume PERNES is regularly invited by various ensembles such as the Paris Opera, the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre National d’Île-de-France, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestre Symphonique de l’Aube, and the Göteborg Wind Orchestra.
He has also been a member of several chamber music groups, including the Arcane Saxophone Quartet, the Aeolia Quartet, the Saxiana Quartet, the Paris Saxophone Quintet, the Republican Guard Saxophone Quintet, and the Ensemble Saxo Voce.

A versatile musician, he also plays jazz and has trained with musicians such as David Sauzay and Gaël Horellou.
He is a member of the Funky Sax Project, a septet composed of a saxophone quintet with arrangements by Philippe Portejoie, Pascal Thouvenin, and Christian Duperray.
Highly committed to pedagogy, he teaches at the Paul Dukas Conservatory in Paris.
